The Klorane Institute: enjoyable recipes to ease the side effects of cancer treatment
In collaboration with the Ecole Polytechnique LaSalle Beauvais, the Klorane Institute has published a collection of plant-based recipes to ease the side-effects of cance treatment.
This brochure was produced in collaboration with the Ecole Polytechnique LaSalle Beauvais [a prestigious engineering school], which specializes in Food and Health. Its aim is to support patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy by alleviating the side effects suffered.
Depending on the type of cancer diagnosed, several treatments are offered to patients (surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, curietherapy or immunotherapy). This brochure is intended for those undergoing the two most frequently used treatments (chemotherapy and radiotherapy).
A list was compiled of nine side effects linked to these treatments: cognitive issues, general fatigue, skin lesions, problems with the mouth cavity, disruption to taste and smell, nausea and vomiting, constipation, diarrhea and digestive disorders. This brochure offers recipes that use plants with a known medicinal effect: simple, tasty recipes that make it possible to reduce the side effects experienced during treatment.
Publication of this brochure once again demonstrates Pierre Fabre Laboratories' commitment to fighting cancer and providing support for patients during their treatment.
