Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosmetics hosts the European Packaging Design Association Congress
June 30, 2015
Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosmetics hosted the 41st international designers' congress organized by the European Packaging Design Association at the “Les Cauquillous” site on June 12.
Every year, the European Packaging Design Association (EPDA) holds the designers' congress in a different country. This year, it took place in France, near Toulouse, at the Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosmetics “Les Cauquillous” site (Lavaur, Tarn).
The EPDA brought together 44 designers from 14 countries to work on the topic of Products for an aging population. The day included contributions from well-known designers and ended with two workshops on creativity techniques and environmental responsibility.
At the end of the congress, the EPDA, in collaboration with Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosmetics, launched an international competition (“Design it yourself 2015”). The chosen topic is Ducray's Sensinol haircare range for sensitive scalps, primarily developed to care for senior citizens' aging scalps. Professionals and design schools are asked to put forward a concept targeting this group: a logo, a packaging color, and a functional and adapted packaging system. The prizes for this competition will be awarded at the next EPDA Meet & Greet event, scheduled to take place in Berlin in November 2015.
