Pierre Fabre wins first place at the 2016 Social Enterprise Awards in Spain
On June 16, 2016, Pierre Fabre’s Spanish subsidiary won the “Social Enterprise Award” in the “Best responsible project for humanitarian aid” category for its NUTRI2 project.
Every year, the “Social Enterprise Award” rewards responsible companies with innovative projects capable of generating value both for the civil society and for the company.
NUTRI 2 is a solidarity-based health initiative conducted by Pierre Fabre employees in Spain. Its goal is to raise awareness about the importance of “eating well”, help everyone adopt better eating habits and help people suffering from malnutrition.
In concrete terms, the kilos lost by the employees involved in the NUTRI 2 project were fully converted into kilograms of food donated to people suffering from malnutrition, via a charity.
Through this initiative, Pierre Fabre employees in Spain lost 160 kg in total! As the subsidiary had decided to give back 6 times the number of kilos lost, a total of 960 kg of food was sent to the association Caritas, which will be in charge of redistributing the donations.
This award is recognition of a useful initiative that is in line with the Pierre Fabre Group’s mission: caring for the human being as a whole.
