The extensive Pierre Fabre’s library of original fragments isolated from plants is now available from Pierre Fabre and NovAliX

Pierre Fabre Laboratories and NovAliX today announced they have entered into a partnership to make the Pierre Fabre “Natural Fragment Library” (NFL) available to biophysical methods and screening technics developed by NovAliX .

Aiming to reach a wide audience with their fragment library in the frame of their Open Innovation policies while staying focused in their field of expertise Pierre Fabre Laboratories made the strategic decision to collaborate with NovAliX, an international partner specialized in drug discovery and biophysics based screening and characterization services. This cooperation will allow NovAliX experts to offer its clients (pharmaceutical laboratories, institutions or companies in biotech sector) access to Pierre Fabre NFL in their screening campaigns.

Fragment-based screening, an emerging field today, offers valuable prospects for identifying promising candidates for drug discovery. With our new Open Innovation initiative, Natural Fragment Library, we have decided to open access to our library of fragments bringing a high level of originality and interesting chemical properties due to their natural origin. These fragments come from our plant collection, the largest private collection in the world in terms of size and diversity said Frédéric Duchesne, President & CEO, Pierre Fabre Médicament (Pharmaceutical).
