Hervé Hoppenot nommé Président du Conseil d’Administration de Pierre Fabre SA
26 May 2026
Castres (France), May 26, 2026 - Pierre Fabre Participations, the Group’s parent holding company, has appointed Hervé Hoppenot as Chairman of the Board of Pierre Fabre SA. The Board of Directors, which met on May 21, approved this appointment.
Hervé Hoppenot, who has served as a Board member of Pierre Fabre SA since January 15, 2024, succeeds Roch Doliveux, who has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Board.
Hervé Hoppenot, 65, a dual French-American citizen, has spent most of his career in the United States. He served as Chair and CEO of the US biotechnology company Incyte from 2014 to 2025, gradually transforming it into a major player in the field of onco-hematology. Previously, he served as President of the Novartis Global Oncology franchise, where he oversaw one of the pharmaceutical industry’s largest portfolios of cancer prescription drugs.
In addition to his new role at Pierre Fabre, Hervé Hoppenot also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the California-based biotech company Maze Therapeutics and as a director of two other biotech companies: Bicycle Therapeutics and N-Power Medicine.
Pierre Yves Revol, Chairman of the Board of Pierre Fabre Participations, said:
Having had the privilege to see Roch Doliveux accept the role of Chairman of the Board of Pierre Fabre SA from 2017 to 2026, it is yet another great opportunity for our group to welcome Hervé Hoppenot as his successor and benefit from his expertise at a time when the oncology franchise is growing successfully and accounts for a significant portion of the group’s investments.
I am very pleased to bring my expertise to an independent group that is deeply rooted in its local community and a major player in the health and beauty sector. It is an honor for me to assist the group’s CEO, Eric Ducournau, in growing the business as he has been doing since 2019, and to contribute to the development of a highly ethical group, owned by a government-recognized public-interest foundation, which receives the profits distributed by the company to develop programs that benefit those most in need of healthcare in the least developed countries.
In addition, Sophie Le Tanneur, member of the Boards of Bollinger Group and CIS Catering, is joining the Board of Pierre Fabre SA.
