The new Gustave Roussy International Prize, of which Pierre Fabre Laboratories is the major partner, will be awarded each year to a researcher whose work has demonstrated a major impact on the care of cancer patients.

For its first edition, the Gustave Roussy Prize went to Prof. Charles Swanton, a pioneer in cancer research. It was awarded by Prof. Barlesi, Director of the Gustave Roussy institute, at a ceremony held on February 4 at the Théâtre du Lido in Paris, in the presence of leading figures from the scientific and academic worlds.

Prof. Charles Swanton, Clinical Director of the Francis Crick Institute in London, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the understanding and treatment of cancer. His groundbreaking work has transformed precision medicine, influencing the care of millions of patients worldwide. His research has not only reshaped our understanding of tumor evolution and genomic instability but has also paved the way for new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. As a major partner in this award, Pierre Fabre salutes the significant impact of his discoveries on diagnostic and treatment strategies in oncology.

The work of Prof. Swanton has transformed our understanding of tumor mechanisms and opened the door to groundbreaking therapeutic progress in oncology.
