How can we better measure the impact of skin diseases on quality of life? Avène uses the PRIDD Scale, a project initiated by the GLOBALSKIN patient alliance.

We launched the PRIDD measure after seven years of extensive research and the tireless support of our patient organization community. This marks a significant step forward in achieving our mission through enhanced understanding of skin conditions and patients’ unmet needs. I'm deeply grateful to our worldwide network of patient organizations and partners, whose commitment and support have been vital in developing this novel measure. We are enthusiastic about having PRIDD adopted by clinicians, healthcare professionals, patients and industry to create a better future for people living the stigma, mental health impacts and often-debilitating symptoms of skin conditions worldwide.

We are proud to have been able to support GlobalSkin in the development of PRIDD and collaborate in its continued validation. This partnership perfectly reflects the Avène brand's 'medical' mission and our raison d'être, which is to care for pathological skin. We are committed to improving the lives of people affected by these skin conditions around the world.

As the first brand to integrate the PRIDD scale into our clinical studies, it gives us a head start in understanding the patient and dermatoses. We firmly believe that the PRIDD scale, developed in partnership with patients and validated worldwide, is an essential tool for understanding the impact of dermatological diseases beyond the physical symptoms. We have seen significant results showing a reduction in symptoms of up to -82% for certain parameters of the PRIDD scale.  This collaboration with Global Skin allows us to share valuable data and integrate the evaluation of the efficacy of Avène skincare products into a more holistic approach.
