Partner of the celebration of 20 years of the CNRS in China

March 4, 2015

Pierre Fabre Laboratories was a partner of the event organized by the CNRS in Beijing on February 3 to celebrate 20 years of activity in China.

Attended by the French ambassador, Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, and the Director of the CNRS in China, Antoine Mynard, the celebration was an opportunity for the French and Chinese scientific communities to come closer together.

R&D is a major subject in China. In 2015, 2.2% of the GDP will be invested in R&D. China is home to 1.3 million researchers, compared with 250,000 in France, files for more patents than any other country in the world and is the second-ranking publisher of scientific papers, behind the USA.

To mark this event, Pierre Fabre Laboratories, represented by Yves Barbin, Director of the Plant-Based Active Ingredients Center, and Aiyan Jiang, the head of the Beijing office, Sourcing and R&D Collaboration, underlined their long-standing partnership with the CNRS, their commitment to innovation and their ambition to develop scientific cooperation with China.
