Dr Deborah Szafir talks about Blue March

In a world affected by a health crisis that has been going on for too long, it is more than ever necessary to remember that health cannot wait for the end of the pandemic. It is essential that follow-up appointments continue to be provided, that the various cancer screening programmes are organized and that people can participate.

We know that a cancer that is detected early is a cancer that can have better outcomes. But unfortunately, too many people are still diagnosed at an advanced stage of colorectal cancer (CRC), which results in a loss of chance and a heavier burden of care for the patient.

Once again this year, as it has for several years, the Pierre Fabre Group is committed to raising public awareness of CRC prevention and screening, and to supporting the actions carried out by patient associations through the Blue March campaign. This year, we have chosen, through our slogan "What's your type?" to highlight the fact that everyone, whatever their habits, lifestyle choices or individuality, can and must do something to participate in CRC prevention and screening.

Because a better understanding of the risk factors enables the most appropriate means of prevention to be applied...

Because knowing more about screening methods helps to remove the fear of this potentially anxiety-provoking procedure...

Because it is important to know that not all CRCs are the same and can lead to different management...

It is essential to be informed!

Whatever your type, join us and help us get the message across to fight CRC and let's not forget that the best prevention is early detection.
