a 3-day pierre fabre hackathon to "hack the acne"
21 June 2016
For the 2nd year running, and for the eHealth Summer University in Castres, Pierre Fabre is opening its innovation to external skills and organizing a health hackathon, sponsored by our expert fragile skin brand, A-Derma. The theme for 2016? #HackTheAcne!
When is the hackathon, and who is it for?
Organized with Hacking Health and Innovation in design, the hackathon will take place over 3 days, from July 5-7, in Castres. This event is open to students from all backgrounds and professionals in the following fields: health, patients, engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, marketers, communications professionals, etc.
Creativity as a watchword
The aim is to create innovative digital services projects on the subject of acne.
Resolutely patient-oriented, this collective creation process is guided by design thinking experts, who will use their methods to help the teams be as effective as possible in the time available.
The aim to design a new idea
The underlying concept is to start with free ideas from each participant, and to use controlled iterations to converge on solutions with higher added value for patients. The hackathon is even more effective when participants come from a wide variety of disciplines. Everyone brings a different perspective, according to their training, experience and personality. It is this rich variety that will generate new ideas.
The participants work on a solution in teams, to take the project as far as possible in the time available.
An award to bring projects to life
At the end of the 3 days, the projects are presented to the judging panel. The team whose project is selected will be supported by Pierre Fabre and Health Factory, to help bring their idea to life.
The winning teams will benefit from:
- 5 days of support from Pierre Fabre and Ekito (Marketing, Finance, Scientific/Medical, Information Systems) for the top-placed project
- 3 days of targeted support from Pierre Fabre (Marketing, Finance, Scientific/Medical, Information Systems) for the second-place project
- And for the third-place project: free places to participate in the world's largest health hackathon: Hacking Health Camp in March 2017
