The Pierre Fabre Group presents the careers it has to offer at the DUODAY event

Castres, May 16, 2019 - To celebrate 30 years of its Handi'Cap agreement, the Pierre Fabre Group participated for the first time in DuoDay, a European event supported in France by the Secretary of State for Disabled People. The perfect time to reiterate the Group’s commitment to employing people with disabilities and allowing “mentors” to share their passion for their job.
Three of the Group’s sites (Péraudel, Langlade and Cauquillous) will open their doors and present different professions, such as management controller, assistant, product manager, legal expert and biological technician, etc.
Disability is an important issue for the Pierre Fabre Group
For many years, the Group has chosen to promote employment for disabled people. The percentage of disabled people working for the Group reached over 7% in 2018, and is now at 7.14% (well above the sector average of 3.67%).
The Handi’Cap agreement, introduced in 1989, focuses on 4 areas of action:
- First, recruitment, because Pierre Fabre is committed to recruiting disabled people for permanent and temporary positions.
- Second, retaining employees in work, because if any health problem were to affect an employee’s ability to work, solutions would be put in place to adapt the workstation or transfer the employee.
- Third, integration, because Pierre Fabre offers internships and work-study arrangements to facilitate access to the company for young people with disabilities.
- Lastly, in many fields, Pierre Fabre uses subcontracting via the ESAT initiative to assist professional integration of the disabled.
The Group also supports employees and their families with the various formalities surrounding their disability: recognition of disabled worker status, workstation and home adaptations, etc.
